Public collection | Musée du Louvre, Paris

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Pyramid, the Musée du Louvre has commissioned another major public artwork, inviting Elias Crespin to design a new permanent piece for the museum.
Consisting of 128 metal tubes hanging from motor-powered cables, the artist’s kinetic creation, 'L’Onde du Midi', will perform its subtle choreography at the top of the Escalier du Midi in the southeast corner of the Cour Carrée. Crespin thus follows in the footsteps of leading contemporary art figures who have created works for the Louvre, such as Anselm Kiefer (2007), François Morellet (2010) and Cy Twombly (2010).
Collective exhibition I Maison de l'Amérique Latine, Paris

From October 10, 2024, to January 16, 2025, the Maison de l'Amérique Latine of Paris will host an exhibition featuring 17 artists with Latin American origin who are now acclaimed on the international stage. Their works, produced between the 1960s and today, incorporate elements such as threads, weaving, braiding and knotting.

The artwork "TriAlineados Fluo Vert", 2016 is currently presented as part of the exhibition "Les Mondes Imaginaires" at the Espace Monte-Cristo - Fondation Villa Datris. This kinetic installation, composed of moving fluorescent green triangles, immersed in darkness, invites visitors to contemplate a hypnotic dance in a particularly timeless atmosphere. The play of lights and movements evokes a futuristic and poetic universe. With this installation, Elias Crespin offers all spectators a unique sensory and immersive journey, exploring fluidity and perpetual transformation.
Solo show | Bildmuseet, Umeå, Sweden

The Bildmuseet of Umeå, Sweden, presents Elias Crespin’s first personnal exhibition in Scandinavia, Chronomorphosis. The show presents a selection of twelve electrokinetic sculptures from the last decade, including large-scale works such as TriNet, 2013 or Circular Inception, 2016.

Sicardi Ayers Bacino Gallery, Houston, presents a new solo show of Elias Crespin's work. The sculptures on display were made during the past decade, up until today, following the evolution of his work on time and movement.

Fondation Villa Datris presents Mouvement et Lumière, an exhibition on light and movement through a selection of works of kinetic art from the 1950s to the new generations of artists. The 81 works on display, by 60 international artists, both emerging and historical, show a diversity of approaches of light as an artistic medium.

Galeria Raquel Arnaud was a pioneer in bringing kinetic art to Brazil, in the 1980s, with paramount names such as Carlos Cruz-Díez and Jesús Rafael Soto. In this exhibition, the gallery reunites historical figures from kinetic art with contemporary artists.
